Beyond the Port, we firmly believe in the impact we have in our communities. That is why we have a strategy to contribute to the growth of David and the western region of Panama.
The port will work as an ally of the communities of Chiriquí and the western region, with whom we share the pride of being part of a thriving province and a region with the potential to grow with sustainable development to improve the quality of life of Chiricanos and inhabitants of the western region.

The New Routes Foundation is the executive arm of Puerto Barú’s social work in David. Our goal is to be a source of inspiration for these children, which is why we will lead efforts to improve their quality of life. We are aware of the importance of our work in ensuring the best possible future for the children we work with.
How do we do it?
We focus on developing social programs and projects that offer a new approach to addressing the challenges posed by poverty rates, starting with nutrition and quality education. Our aim is to make a tangible impact on building a better future for individuals and the community. Every child deserves our full attention to ensure a focused effort, but it is the love with which we do our work that sets us apart.
